I showed up at Furman to ride the First Fifty with the Greenville Spinners under the threat of eminent rain and in heavy fog. We took off from Furman at 10 a.m. as scheduled but 10 miles out the rain picked up to the point that I could no longer see. I pulled underneath a cover at a gas station and saw a couple turning back. So I tagged along with Jason and his wife Megan as we all returned to campus. I enjoyed the ride (what I did of it) but there was a lot more climbing than I am used to.
