After work I headed to the ICAR to get in a ride. Now that the rain has stopped the wind has started. The wind was fierce out there today. But I was looking forward to fighting the wind and getting a workout. My average speed was down but it was still a good ride. I was nearly 5 miles into the ride when Erica called so I headed back toward Whole Foods to meet her along the way. We met up and hit the ride with a vengeance. We saw some odd sights along the ride today. We saw a group of about 10 wild turkeys just outside of the large hotel along Verdae. There was a large group of K-9 sheriffs doing some kind of training exercise with their dogs. We also saw a deputy sheriff car driving through the ICAR with the trunk open and a man sitting in the trunk dangling his feet out the back. We also discovered the Old Sulphur Springs Road and Forrester Drive have been repaved with about 3 feet of paved shoulder to ride on. It was a good ride.
