The left/front brifter has been replaced with a bar-end shifter. It took about 10 miles of riding to get used to shifting and trimming with it. I have big hopes that it will bring an end to all of the front derailleur problems. I think the bike shop mechanic is really tired of battling it as well. I am still trying to get my riding lesback and I really need to drop some weight.
