Comments: WMRT, Hancock, MD: Sunny, warming into the low 80s. Time trialed 50 miles, again time constrained, no stops, no food, only 2 sips of water (but ate right before ride). Started reasonbly slow, kept heart rate below 160, avg'd 18.0 to top of "hill", then shifted into larger gears (+2). Held 20-21 rest of the way. Legs were hurting at end, knees a bit tender from being overgeared. Hoping this will help with hills.

Comments: Day 1 of the Valero MS150, San Antonio to New Braunfels, TX with John, Keith and Vic. Headwind building from south 15-20, some tailwind, but crappy chipsealed roads were aweful. Felt good till about 65 miles, them legs died. Lunch really hurt me. Cloudy, overcast but VERY humid, 85. Didn't fell good all day. Needed to train more. 1300' vertical.

Comments: Day 2 of the Valero MS150. New Braunfels to San Antonio. Ride start delayed 90+ mins due to storms. Followed John for 18 miles. Felt ok until a traffic cop jumped directly out in front of John and I going downhill at 28. Felt like shit the rest of the ride with worsening blisters on my feet. Could barely pedal. Miserable ride for me. Headwind most of the way with rolling hills. Sun came out, got hot, then sunburned.

Comments: Mt. Vernon/4 Mile/WO&D and return: Another time constrained ride on a beautiful clear cool morning, 55, sunny, no clouds at all, but 10,000 runners, cyclists, walkers, hikes, bikes, riders, trail crews, kids, dogs and oblivious morons. Was a nervous wreck by the end of the ride. Legs were wooden to start, but slowly loosened up. 1600' vertical

Comments: Mt. Vernon/4 Mile/WO&D on a sunny but cool clear day. Was time constrained to only 2 hrs, so went pretty hard on way out. Felt pretty on way up the first 12 miles. Top of the climb in 50 mins. Hung on the wheel of a douchebag racer who nearly took me out on trail last 8 miles. He only caught me due to stop lights.
