History:

Started riding (as an adult) at Edwards AFB in California in the early '90s. That's where I got my first Trek. Good place to ride, right on the western edge of the Mojave Desert, but you had to get out early because by mid-afternoon the wind would be howling from the east. All the trees there grew at an angle. Got the Panasonic in Japan, put most of the miles on it there and in Germany. Germany was a great place to ride, when the weather was good anyway. Nice roads, beautiful scenery, courteous drivers. Drifted away from cycling after retiring from the USAF in '02, until last year that is. Jumped back in with both feet, picking up the Madone in August '10. It's a beautiful bike and I hope to be riding it for many years to come.
