I began riding about twelve years ago at age 50 - sure wish I'd started sooner...

We live near the Withlacoochee State Trail where I'm usually riding one of our tandems with my lovely wife 3 or 4 days a week, occasionally accompanying her when she rides her Greenspeed trike, and normally riding my Tour Easy by myself Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I seldom set foot in a vehicle.

2015 - This year I anticipate far fewer miles than the last few years due to projects I really shouldn't put off any longer.

I no longer record my miles because I fail to see the point—I get up in the morning and go for a bike ride. However, I will check my bikes' odometers and occasionally do a bulk upload.

LWB Recumbent bike
Description:  I purchased this older used Tour Easy to see how I like a LWB.
It is heavier and doesn't climb hills as well as my Stealth - but it's comfort I'm after, and this bike is comfortable. Besides, there's few hills in Florida, so why be concerned about weight?

Recumbent Road Tandem bike
Description:  Purchased this bike as an experiment to see if we would like a 'bent better than our regular tandem. After we moved to Florida we have switched to this bike for most of our tandem rides.

A couple of years ago we acquired an M5 tandem (made in the Netherlands). It has become our regular bike and when we do ride our Screamer it seems to require much more effort than the M5. We probably should sell this bike.

Lifetime Odometer: 15,777.4 miles

Recumbent Road Tandem bike
Description:  This sadly neglected, lightly damaged, Dutch tandem was offered to us at a very reasonable price. It was too good to pass up, so I've been working on getting it into riding condition.

That "go-fast" rear wheel bugs me, but my dear stoker likes the look of it, so for now it'll stay...

Lifetime Odometer: 13,847.5 miles

Tandem Road bike
Description:  This is the bike that got us started in bicycling - it was a 30th wedding anniversary present to each other.
When we purchased this bike we vowed that we wouldn't dress up in those weird spandex clothes we had seen on bikers. Hmm!

And because we fell in love with cycling, we eventually moved to Florida so that we can ride the Withlacoochee State Trail. We no longer ride this bike, preferring one of our recumbent tandems.

I now seldom even drive anywhere because I can ride almost any place I need to go for errands or recreation.

Lifetime Odometer: 24,075.0 miles

Trike Recumbent bike
Description:  My dear wife's GT3 which I occasionally commandeer when she isn't looking :)

Lifetime Odometer: 194.6 miles

SWB Recumbent bike
Description:  My venture into the world of single 'bents. After a year and 5,000 miles, I still can't get comfortable on longer (75+ mile) rides probably because the bike is too small for me. The steering is quicker and it climbs hills better than the Tour Easy. It is a fun bike to ride.

Lifetime Odometer: 5,778.0 miles

Road bike
Description:  My first single bike and I really enjoy riding it. However, I've decided that upright bikes are simply not as safe as recumbents, so I seldom ride this bike anymore.
Compared to my 'bents, this bike is lighter and much faster up hills.

Lifetime Odometer: 6,501.7 miles
