I started biking back in 2003 for the Tour De Friends which benefited the AIDS program in the DC area. I biked my butt off, and learned what NOT to do. Basically I crashed & burned on Day 2 from not enough water or food. Also the lack of sleep didn't help things.
In 2004, I got married and slacked off a bit from riding. Adjusting to married life was painful, and my darling hubby is not a cyclist so I was always staying off the bike. I did the Montreal-Boston Ride in August 2004, and had some major sunburn issues. I got fried, and my face swelled up like a ballon!
Than in September 2004, I did another AIDS ride from North Carolina to DC. I got my act together and rode everyday with no issues. That last day, I had a minor accident and broke my tailbone!! I finished the ride though!
2005 I didn't do many rides as I would have liked to. I had some health issues that I had to resolve, and I am in college full-time.
2006..well still in college, but no health issues!
About Me!
I have lost 80+ lbs doing weight watchers. My goal is to drop 30+ more so that I am a light racer. I am competitive by nature, and really want to race and do tri's!
