This thread was started by Pansy Palmetto. She's left a lasting impression and I know I'll think of her as I pass mile 25 on any given ride.

Get out there, good people! (don't forget to mention what you are wearing...)

find a way to squeeze out 25 and SHARE.
A mix of earlier Polemics from 2009/10:

All who are the center of the universe, step forward and show your quarters! No, not your living quarters, not your hindquarters, your 25 mile rides! Whether you've finally gotten out of shape or you're trying to stay there...
Now go call someone who cares.
You will find to your horror that quarters CARES (where oh where has quartermaster pansy gone?)!
You are CYCLE PERSON! Rawr!

And ... if you get that ride done in the FOURTH QUARTER it means you're out, moving and sweating it out while other people are still on the couch.

1. Rides are from 25.0 miles to 49.99999999999 miles. Anywhere. Inside outside, all around the block.
2. Miles count in only one mileage thread, so don't go posting your overachievements from the higher milage theads.
3. Only one quarter per day (00:00 to 24:00 where ever you may be).

You may report your "metric quarters" (25 km- about 16 miles) if it's less than 16 degrees Fahrenheit and we'll acknowledge the hardness of your core, but it won't be a "quarter."

(BTW my secret code to get in and edit this is the same as ... my name.)

Our founder Pansy will always be in the lead! I can see the tutu...

Once the cold weather sets, you two will have to duke it out alone....but be assured, I'll find a few quarters around here somewhere.

Tailwinds.

Nice fall afternoon. I wore tights, but no arm warmers. It is chilly in the shade, but just dandy out in the sunshine. Fall foliage is great along the mountain roads. We have had a great run of nice weather. One more day and the tides will change.

Hey Britt,
Take it easy on me, I gotta get some minor oral surgery tomorrow morning. That should keep my mileage down for at least 24 hours.
