I found this club while perusing the BJ site. Unfortunately after joining I found that I am only the second member and the only member that put in mileage this year. Is there anyone else out there that is into cycling and weightlifting? It's not the usual combination for the cycling enthusiast, and although I like to think I'm special it would be nice to find a few others in my situation. As the newest, and only active member in the club, I am taking it upon myself to officially kick off our 2007 membership drive. It is a virtual club so we're an international organization. Rules are fairly flexible (I'm not aware of any at this point.) so there are no beauracratic frustrations to deal with. Hurry and beat the macho rush.

I tried, but just didn't seem to fit in with the muscle-bound group...

Sorry Wjacobyansky, but that's gotta be the funniest cycling-related picture ever!
Howard does his pushups, situps, and other exercises (no weights), so he still looks more like the modest guy than the other three.

I believe it was part of some "save the bike trails" campaign. I used it in a presentation at work about bike commuting.

three thumbs up for the pic!
Does 10 dumbbell curls and 10 pushups every other day count?

I'll have to see what the new year brings... We've got a pretty good gym at work that I want to take better advantage of and do some cross-training, maybe some light weight training, so I'll have to keep an eye on this club. Not ready to commit yet.

What's your bench?
|
|
|
|
It's not the total weight that you push it's the effort that you put into it and the image of yourself you have when you're not looking in the mirror. (By the way I'm currently topping out at 260# on the bench.) Anyone that thinks they are qualified may join. Being the newest, and once again only the second member, I may not be completely up on all of the rules and requirements. Couldn't find a reverse funny picture to post so I guess I'll just have to use witty ripostes in future replies.

If it weren't for that danged mirror!

Yes, clever, that photo is Da Bomb. I have seen it somewhere fairly recently but your use is WAY so perfect. I bench.....now prepare yourselves.....2 pounds. IF they are cans of smoked oysters, I can go up to 5 pounds. So, obviously, I am totally qualified.

I volunteer to be Judge Of The Bicyclers With Biceps Club because I am a Concerned Citizen. I am certain the duties include physically examining the body builders to determine muscle authenticity; take samples of bodily fluids; make them work out in front of me; *other* tests, etc.
