Legs were a bit touchy after yesterday's effort and so opted for a short ride. It wasn't raining today but it was misting for most of the ride leaving me quite moist. It was just a one climb route with the now oft climbed ascent to Reading Center before descending to Rock Stream and returning home above the lake. Didn't put much effort into the climb nor the descent really and it showed with a low average after the first downhill was complete. Started to do some work to try to get a fifteen and it didn't look good as I crossed the false flats on SR 14S. Surprised myself as after a forty-plus descent into Watkins had me safely above the fifteen. Amazing what a couple miles of fast downhill can do to an average on a short course. Had enough cushion to relax through Watkins and across the swamp. Not a ad ride overall as wasn't anticipating much.
