It's been unseasonably warm here lately, making cycling a bit more enjoyable.
With temps near 60°, it was No Jacket Required. (for me anyway.)

Today we rode to Edward's Apple Orchard again. Sue was not feeling her best, so this time we loaded the bikes in the car and took a short drive to Roland Olson Forest Preserve, from there we took the Long Prairie Trail to Beaverton Road, then went north to the Orchard.
It's a nice, easy way to bike to the Orchard, since it eliminates a lot of auto traffic.

To our surprise, The Orchard was not very busy.
They are open until November 29. If the weather is still nice next weekend, perhaps we'll go again, for some more apple pie, donuts and caramel apples.

After eating at the Orchard, we went to the east end of the Long Prairie Trail. Sue said she'd never been there, so she got to see the "Tricycle Eating Tree" for the first time.

Sure have enjoyed your trail building blogs right on your own property. If I were to do that I could likely get a whopping 75 yards of trail around the whole lot! However I wouldn't have to ride anywhere for apples, our tree had more than 3000 by count and estimation. Have a good winter Craig. (Maybe I'll throw an old bike up in the apple tree and see how fast it gets eaten.)

Thanks! I'll continue to post progress reports until the snow gets too deep.
You might have room enough to build a BMX "Pump Track".

I've never ridden on one, but it looks like fun! You can use your mountain bike.

And, you can charge the local kids in the neighborhood to ride on it, and use the money to buy those Reynolds RZR wheels!
