I have a busy weekend coming up with a hilly full century on Saturday and a hilly Metric on Sunday so went for a flat ride today. Got the Masi out again and rode to Eldridge Park in Elmira again. It isn't really flat as it gains five-hundred feet over the first ten miles before reaching the flat section starting at Pine Valley. It is a gradual climb though so it's the only flat I have near my home. Had a slight north wind to aid me and ended up having about the same average speed up hill as down. Park is beautiful but not much happening there today as it appeared to be only me and some geese. Usually there are skateboarders and numerous walkers on the trail surrounding the lake but today nobody. Rode steady up but coasted a bit on the return downgrade. Not much effort but a nice easy day on the bike.
