Took a couple days off the road bike and rode the trainer in the cool basement to avoid the end of the heat wave. Took an early morning ride to avoid some later day rain. Pedaled easily to Millport and a little bit harder on the return trip with a good tailwind. Pretty boring ride except when I got buzzed by a guy on a time trial bike coming back into town. I was already in cool down mode and despite a short-lived attempt to catch him it wasn't going to happen. Wished him well and hoped he wouldn't get wet as he was carrying enough water for a long outing. Slunk home ruing that my speed and strength are gone but got a ride in.
