With 5 to 6 inches of fresh powder falling today, we strapped on the headlamps and went for a refreshing night time snowshoe hike in the back yard. It was 20°, perfect for 'shoein' without getting too warm. After about 45 minutes my right leg was getting sore, I'll need to find the proper rubber band tension to lift my paralyzed foot. I think this setup will work. We may have enough snow to groom the trails for XC skiing. Hopefully we'll get some more this week. Dang! I should have brought my camera.

Yeah! I missed some awesome photo ops tonight! Shame on me is right... Nothing serious, just a minor inconvenience. Yeah, I have Peroneal nerve palsy, or Foot Drop. It affects my walking (I trip/stumble a lot) more than my cycling. I'm not even sure exactly when it happened but the whole story is here...

I also wrote about it in my "Why I am slow" blog that was decimated in the 11/3 attack.
