It remains warm for April but rain showers were passing through today and south wind was still blowing hard. Had a one hour window between showers but didn't really want to ride into the wind so opted for some short loops around town. I have a two mile loop with one small knoll and one ninety foot third of a mile climb followed by a short fifteen percent drop. Good part about the course is I'm never more than a mile from the house. Didn't set any records today and started out fairly slow. Figured I could get seven laps in before it rained. Tried to stay in the saddle and spin the climb each lap but legs weren't quite strong enough and usually had to stand over the eight percent section. Laps were starting to get better each time but it started to shower on the fourth lap. Finished lap five and called it a day. Had a pretty good ride for a spinning recovery day.
