It has been nearly 4 weeks since my last ride. Since that time we had some bad weather that kept me off the trails, then my wife's mother passed away and we traveled to Florida to deal with that, we returned home for Christmas, then left for a week and a half vacation in Hawaii. We returned very tired last night and I took a short ride this afternoon. After missing nearly 4 weeks I was really sucking wind for the first couple of miles. I was also adjusting from the balmy Hawaiian weather to our crisp South Carolinian winter weather. But it is very good to be back in the saddle and on the trails!
