Temperature remained high throughout the night again but a cold wave was predicted to move in mid morning. Body was pretty beat up, especially my back, when I got out of bed but convinced myself that a quick twenty before winter returned was a good idea. Got on the bike and all the soreness disappeared once I got going. Encountered almost no wind until got near Millport where it picked up and the temperature started to drop. Speed also dropped as I did the climbing section into the ever increasing wind. Got to the top eventually and started back down. Could definitely feel the difference as hands when numb from the cold on the downhills. Finished off the short ride a bit chilled and will go back to indoor riding until the temperature returns above forty. Like to bank miles, but riding indoors on the coumputrainer is probably healthier and will increase my sad fitness level faster than cold weather riding.
