Yesterday's hint of spring appears to be on its way back south after a brief stay as clouds and rain are the order of the day. Really didn't want to ride in the strong winds but also wanted to catch the high seventies temps as it might be awhile before they come back this way again. Got up on top of the dike and pushed the first six miles into the wind at a snail's pace. Thought I might catch a break on the back leg of the ride but for some reason I failed to get much out of the tailwind. Planned on doing twenty but while the light sprinkles I encountered were tolerable I had no desire to see what the threatening clouds were soon to deliver and opted out with a short, tough fifteen miles.
