Had another day above freezing and since the sun was out went out for a trail ride on the mountain bike. Was a bit concerned that the trail would still be iced up but it turned out to be a great surface to ride. The ground was still frozen with just a thin layer of snow over most of the trail but did have a mile or so of snow covered ice in the sections where the sun doesn't shine. Turned out to be a pleasant ride as I had a good spin going not having the snow or mud that I had to slog through on the last few rides. Did see where a gravel bike had come down the trail today and one other fellow running. Caught a good tailwind back on the highway. Thought about getting some more miles in but the clouds were rolling in and temperature was dropping again so decided not to chance spoiling a good outing. Temperature appears to be going south again with nothing above freezing for the next couple of weeks so it looks like it will be back on the trainer at least until February.
