 First 50 Missed
I planned to help with the set up then ride the First 50 from Furman to Table Rock and back. Instead I was sicker than a dog all night and long into the morning. My problems finally came to an end but I was very tired and run out by that point. My friend Steve wanted to do a short ride today, which was his first ride since breaking his hip and having it replaced in September. I met Steve, Tom, and Elissa at Cleveland Park and we slowly rode to the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and went in for lunch. I had a glass of iced tea and a bowl of sweet potato broccoli soup. We ate and sat and talked for a long time, then we rode back down the trail. It was a short, slow ride, but Steve is back on his wheels and I will need a day or two to recover from last night and this morning.
