Today I rode alone from the downtown post office. I headed up the trail to get to the north end and come back with a small double back to get a quarter in. I felt very slow and my legs felt completely dead but I pressed on anyway. Once I turned around and headed back down the trail I realized that I had been battling a stout headwind. When I finished my average speed was identical to yesterday when I felt like I was very strong. Hmmm......
