After work my new clipless pedals and shoes were on the front porch waiting for me, but I decided to get out and ride then install the pedals and cleats after today's ride. The weather is supposed to be bad the next two days so that will give me some "basement time" to proactive clipping in and out with the clipless set up. I drove to the downtown post office and headed north solo on the SRT. I felt very strong riding today and reached the north end fairly quickly, then when I turned back I realized that I'd been riding with the wind. Hut riding back against the wind wasn't so bad and I ended up with a good average (good for me anyway!) It was a good ride. The pedals are now installed and the cleats are on the new shoes so tomorrow the bike and I will spend some quality time in the basement and hopefully I'll get the hang of them before I go out and hang myself! I don't want to join the Tombay Club.
