After hard rains yesterday and through the night the sun came out and brought heavy winds with it. After work I headed to Cleveland Park to brave the winds and see how the parks and the river looked. The river was the highest that I have seen it while riding. It was at the top of its banks in several places and close in most areas. The wind was absolutely brutal for riding. I had to gear down in many areas but I enjoyed the ride. The heavy winds dried many places that would have been wet and/or muddy. The river was right below many of the bridges and right at the sewer bridge after Church Street. The passage under McDaniel Street was under water and blocked off. On the stretch from Linky Stone Park to Willard Street the river was very close to the path and within 8 inches in a couple of places. Even though my speed was way down it was an adventurous ride.
