Took another run on the Fitzpatrick Hill course. Temperature at the start was in the low forties and the hazy sunshine brought comfortable riding. Wind was still blowing hard and steady out of the south, but it smelled clean and refreshing. Actually felt comfortable on the climb and stayed in the saddle the whole way today. Roads were in fair condition with the only issue being the loose sandy grit covering half the road. Rode closer to the center than I normally do, but it wasn't a problem as only saw three cars in ten miles after the start of the climb. The pit bull near the top wasn't out today and so avoided the top of the climb dog attack. Rosie the coonhound pup was out chasing cars a little further down the road. I was a bit too tired after the climb to sprint away and had to be content confusing the pup with weaving. Rode on unbitten. Not sure whether Rosie is mean or just a playful dog, but she probably won't live long chasing cars. Saw a flock of forty plus turkeys along the road as well as several horses out with their sweaters on. Highlight of the ride was the new bigfoot crossing on the Middle Road. Unfortunately I didn't see bigfoot today. Did see two joggers and surprisingly another cyclist on a cruiser riding on SR 14. Other than the climb it was a low effort day and not an unpleasant ride. The clouds rolled in and it started getting a little cool towards the end of the ride so was glad I got out early even though the temperature was lower at the start.
