Another Shark Valley ride with the gators, blue herons, wild storks, ibis, things of the wild.
Just one additional, rider, Steve showed up and he brought his big gun camera. Glad he did as ye can see from the pics at the bottom of the blog.
One of the highlights is climbing the observation tower to watch the thousands of birds roost for the night. This is the "dry" season in the Everglades so the birds roost close to where the water and food is. During the wet season this evening "flurry of flight" doesn't happen.
Oh..next time we don't bring our bikes to the observation tower and ignore the "NO BIKES PAST THIS POINT" sign as Ranger Rick gave us a stern lecture and made us promise to be bike marshalls whenever we visit the tower. At a cost of $125 fine if we don't follow his request, we're good bike marshalls.
