Today I left early and drove to Nate's Pizza outside Tigerville and rode with Adam and Becky. We rode over 21 miles around Tigerville. The ride was all up and down with a lot of stout climbing. The wind was also brutal. When we turned onto 101 the headwind was so strong that I was struggling to hit 8 mph downhill. The climbs and the wind wore me out, but we came in with some pretty good time. I drove from there back down to Furman and parked at the railroad car. I rode down the trail to find the Sunday group. I rode 4 miles south and found them stopping at Fat Ma's and the plaque at "Bootlegger's Corner." Ken was giving his lecture there. Once done we started up the trail, but Clair was having a time with her bike. Mike and Ken kept stopping to work on it. Ken also gave us the grand cycling tour at Furman. We rode back to the Forest where I had a muffin and a cup of coffee. I bought a brownie for Cis. After we talked and talked at the Forest then Ken and Mike did a lot of work on Clair's bike to get it running again. By the time we left they were going to be late getting back. I rode south with them to Furman where the pickup was parked. I was pooped by the time we finished riding.
