Beautiful day for a bike ride. Day started out chilli in the upper 40's (not bad with the right clothes) then climbed up to the low/mid 60's & sunny all day. I did OK in the first 50 miles - mostly hilly (avg speed 15.6 at the first rest stop and 16.0 at the second), then ok for the next 25 in the flats with a mostly tail wind (avg 16.2 when I reached Advance). Now it was time to turn into the wind (out of the N 10-14 mph) it was a long 7+ mile stretch - even though it was flat, it seemed like it was ALL up hill (there's no coasting or downhill for rest periods) to get to Delta tne on to Dutchtown. The last 10 miles was pretty good going east since the wind was not directly in my face. Overall a good day of riding, and to top it off Jacque & I had a great dinner at Texas Road House in Cape with our daughter
