 Mecklenburg
Fair day for fall riding with an overcast sky and a slight north wind. Attempted a brisk ride on the Mecklenburg route and had mixed results. Had a decent climb up Old Odessa with a good chunk of the bottom portion out of the saddle and a fast spin over the top. Went into SR 228 a little slow but had a fast climb to the junction. Speeds didn't develop on the fast section to Mecklenburg as well as I had hoped. I was able to maintain speeds in the mid-twenties but seemed to lack any top end today. Started up the next climb in good spirits and maintained an average pace. Lack of top speed hurt me again on the section through Bennettsberg to Burdett. Things fell all apart through Watkins as hit almost every light red and again experienced bumper to bumper traffic. Enjoyable ride overall.
