Ride Description: W/Sue... After working on the trail for CAMBA's Fall Work Day & Ride. We rode the Makwa Trail. This is a sweet riding trail. After the first 1.5 miles of twisty hand built technical singletrack, it becomes a machine assisted, fast flowing slightly wider singletrack. The fall colors were prime, and we took many pictures. |

Sue and I joined the CAMBA crew for some trail building, riding and socializing. It was Sue's first trail building day and she discovered building singletrack is more difficult than riding it. If you have the chance to volunteer to work on trails near you, do it. It's a very rewarding experience that you and many others will enjoy for generations.

From the CAMBA website... Work Day a Big Success! Thanks to everyone who came out and helped us on our annual Fall work day this past Saturday. Over 25 people showed up, which made the work go a lot faster. We completed the last segment of the Makwa Trail to Gravel Pit Road, tying it off to a convenient point at which to access other CAMBA trails and the Birkie Trail. There was enough time to head up the trail and start work on the next section. We've been getting rave reviews from everyone who has ridden this great new trail. A big shout out of thanks to Steve Morales and all the volunteers who have pitched in the past couple of weeks or so to help move this project forward.
