After seeing the blaze orange sign posted on the Namakogen Town Hall TrailHead kiosk, I had second thoughts about riding this morning. But, the trees were near peak Fall colors, and I wanted to get some pictures. And, I needed a "feel good" ride to help me forget how crappy I felt yesterday after bonking on my Makwa Snow Ride. There was still at little snow left on the ground from Friday nights "dumping". And it warmed up to 40°, so it was really nice riding weather.
I didn't get shot at, but I kept looking around the woods, and kept my ears perked for any signs of hunters.
I saw a group of four riders and asked them if they saw any hunters, even though they said no, I still had an uneasy feeling and cut my ride short. Better safe than shot at, I always say.
