Missed a few days of riding as with the approaching foul weather I decided to follow the fowl and head south on a campaign. Tuesday looked like a good day to ride but spent the day instead rototilling the remains of the garden under cleaning the gutters and doing maintenance on the truck. Wednesday was the first day of the sour season and spent the day packing. Had hoped to ride in Kentucky on Thursday but although I had driven through the heavy rains it still was showering regularly so I drove on. Did stop in Arkansas and did and out and back between Arkadelphia and Hot Springs. Route 7 is a scenic highway with some great views and a couple of moderate highway climbs. Traffic is moderate but there is a good shoulder for all of it except a two mile stretch. Legs felt renewed in the warm winds and hot sun.
