I rode the Surly to Petco. I did a lot of wandering and following sidewalks along busy roads that I never ride today. Today Sweet Pea was the only cat at Petco. I rode from Petco and did more wandering around. I decided to go to Papi's for a taco, so I called Jeff but he was busy. It looked closed when I went by and I still needed some miles, so I decided to go to Hampton Station for White Duck Taco. While riding over I came across young black guy working on his bike. He had a sleeve from a sweat shirt stuck in his rear disc brake. I got out my Leatherman and he used it to pull it out. I went under Kristina's chimes intending to turn left and avoid the steep hill, but the street was closed. So I had to climb the big hill and I had a bum trying to hassle me while climbing it. I rode to the Hampton-Pinckney area but Hampton Avenue was closed where it goes by the Hampton Avenue Bridge. I finally made it to Hampton Station, but White Duck Tacos is closed on Mondays.
I rode onto the Swamp Rabbit Cafe and had Philly Cheesesteak made into a salad. I ran into a girl that works there that was riding a Surly Cross-Check. We talked Surlys for a few minutes. I ode home through Unity Park, up the trail to Washington Street, then took Butler to Atwood. I rode straight up East North for the first time in ages.
