Sue's kayaking friends informed her of a "River Ramble" on the Wisconsin River. The scenery was awesome, and after a chilly start, the weather warmed up nicely. There were about 35-40 of us in all sizes of canoes and kayaks.

The longest I had ever paddled was about 4 or 5 miles on a lake, and this was a 14 mile paddle. I figured it was all down stream how tough can it be? I figured wrong. I was toast after 7 or 8 miles. Still it was fun. The scenery made the suffering worth it.
