I planned to ride the white trail at Donaldson yesterday but had family drama going on and blew the whole day on that, so I headed out East North to the Swamp Rabbit and rode to the north end and back. Just north of Furman there is a detour to go around the gravel section of the trail as they are tearing down an decrepit warehouse along that stretch. I am hoping that they pave it when the work is done. That quarter mile has never been paved as the property was in bankruptcy when they built the trail. Where the detour meets back with the trail somebody has mounted a Ghost Bike and bench. I stopped to look at it on the return trip and it was dedicated to all riders that lost their lives on Greenville County roads and was placed by ghostbikes.org. I stopped at Alley Kats for a Gatorade on the way back. When I was about a quarter mile from home (returning) I saw a couple wearing cycling outfits putting their bikes away. I asked them where they had been and they said that his bike was broken so they were going for a run instead. We chatted about places they ride and I ride in the area.
