50°-66° | | Ride Description: From Roland Olson Forest Preserve. Rode to the end of the trail. At the Capron end parking lot, I met and talked to a guy named "Fletch", we chatted a while, cool guy. He started at the Rockton parking lot.
I told him about bikejournal. I'll keep an eye on the new rider list to see if he signs up.
The brakes felt a little stronger today. I did some research and found out there is a little break in period.

Like yesterday, it got much warmer than predicted.

  | I stopped to get a picture of the Tricycle tree, near the east end of the Long Prairie Trail and noticed, for the first time, there is also bike inside the bottom of the tree!

I first noticed the "Tricycle Tree" on 11/1/2008. (See my blog for that day)

This tree has a voracious appetite for consuming cycles, So, I kept my new bike a safe distance from the evil Elm.

Or is that a hungry Hickory?

 Maybe a malicious Maple?

 An odious Oak?

 How about an abhorrent Ash?

Would you believe a wicked Willow?

This I do know, since it's a deciduous tree, It's certainly not a sinister Cedar.

I did a little research, and found another bike eating tree near Vashon Island, Washington. (See link below)

I just found another one in Scotland...

Be careful where you ride. They're out there!
 (Insert eerie Theremin music here...)
