Had another exceptionally nice day for late October even though it was a bit on the windy side. Really didn't want to do much today as the plan is to ride in the mountains of Virginia tomorrow as I start my yearly trek to warmer climes. Caught the strong tailwind to Watkins and hoped it would push me up the hill on my way to Rock Stream. Rode in the big chain ring but legs were flat for the second day in a row and had a dismal climb. Did get some decent speed up over the top of the climb aided by the tailwind but things went south after the turn out of Rock Stream as I pushed into the wind on the next two mile climb. Downhill from Reading Center was fun and the headwind didn't bother me as much as I thought it would on the flats. It was definitely a fall day though as I had to pick several leaves off myself and my bike that were deposited on me by the gusting, swirling wind. Turned out to be a good ride and even the poor climbing sections were entertaining.
