There was no annoucement for a ride today, but 5 of us showed up - Bill D, Mark, Susan, Kimberly, and me. It was no leader - no rules. Everyone did whatever they wanted. We started off in a group, but groups were taking off or dropping back the whole ride. Eventually I had fallen off the back and was hung up in a slow group trying to catch up. Then I ran up on Mark, Kimberly, and Bill. They were parked over an injured hawk that Kimberly hit with her bike. I finally took off and found Susan in Travelers Rest, so I turned back with her. She stopped for a minute with the group then headed south. I dropped her somewhere around Furman as the traffic on campus was very heavy. I stopped at the Swamp Rabbit Cafe for an oatberry shortbread and a glass of sweet tea. I bought an extra for Cis and took off. The park was partially closed when I got back and they were parking cars everywhere. I assume that the Boo at the Zoo is going on.
