Had another cancelled ride today as my planned route in the mountains around Hot Springs AR didn't seem like much fun with the heavy rain and thunderstorms. Hung around for a bit waiting for some clearing but it didn't happen. Ended up driving to my new temporary home in Paris, TX. Weather there was warm with clouds but no rain. Took a short ride out Pine Mill Rd to Blossum then returned with a welcome tailwind down SR 82. Pretty uneventful ride other than a reminder that I will have to improve my dog sprinting skills anew. Had an encounter with a long hot dog type dog that seemed very aggressive but lacked any top speed. I was able to outpace it without much effort.
