Another poor day for riding as it was still cool with a nippy north wind and threatening clouds. Really didn't want to ride but convinced myself that the mountain bike ride yesterday really wasn't that bad so I bundled up and repeated yesterday's ride. Had a little rain but I was dressed for it so it wasn't too bad. While yesterday's late day ride had abundant wildlife all I saw today was a squirrel. Got the road bike out later in the day and was going to take a few laps around town but got bored with that quickly and caught the tailwind and rode to Millport. Really felt poorly even with the tailwind. Headed up Burch Hill with intention of coming back down Smith Rd before heading home. Legs felt good after the mild climb which was something I haven't been experiencing much lately. Bypassed Smith Rd and headed for Horseheads down Middle Rd even though my math skills alerted me that I might not make it back before dark. Had a good run back down SR 14 as I raced the darkness. It got fairly dark before I got home but I don't think it was really any darker than it was last summer when I raced the thunderstorm in the middle of the day. Got home without incident and was probably my most enjoyable ride in the past couple of weeks.
