Now that the summer heat has passed I am hitting some of my other riding sites. With the summer heat going the Swamp Rabbit has a fair amount of shade and makes it more bearable to ride. I have missed the ICAR and my riding buddy Dennis. I saw Dennis several times in passing today but we didn't get together to ride. The ICAR also has several hills that make the ride more challenging. Today I added a new twist and rode over to Verdae on each lap. That follows the trail laid out in the USA Cycling time trials. Even though things were calm when I arrived the wind really kicked up near the end of the first lap. Overall it was a pretty good ride and the hills made it more challenging. I hadn't ridden over there much since I bought the road bike and I am much more comfortable on it than I was over there before.
