I headed to Donaldson tonight to go on the group ride. Tonight was the last official ride out there. Many of the Spinners leaders were at a city or county council meeting so things were fairly unorganized. I jumped in with the C-4 group that rides the 20 mile green ride. When we turned off of Perimeter Road I passed the sweeper figuring that they would soon catch up with me and that I would bring up the rear of the ride, but I never saw them again. I rode by myself but about a mile and a half out I ran into my work buddy Lou. He had finished his ride and saw my truck parked so decided to come find me. But he and I ride back in. Lou told me that a girl had been hit by a car on Perimeter Road and they had taken her away in an ambulance. Even though I rode alone it was a pretty good ride and I enjoyed myself. Afterward Lou and I talked about 20 minutes in the parking lot.
