Back to the ICAR this evening to get in a ride. I saw Dennis in passing a few times, but we couldn't get together to ride. The cycling cap and the neon yellow cycling jersey that I ordered both came in today's mail, so I tried them out tonight. The wind was back with a vengeance tonight. Like Perimeter Road at the Donaldson Center it is very windy at the ICAR - even on still days. The wind isn't too hard to contend with when it comes out of the east, but the prevailing wind comes from the west by northwest and it makes the ride much more challenging. Tonight was no exception to that rule. The wind was hard during hte first lap but it eased up after I started the second lap. Tonight I also had a couple of cars really crowd me on the road. I have noticed two kinds of drivers that are most likely to harass cyclists - government vehicles and young women.
