 Let the bowling season begin.
It was the first night of bowling league, so I anticipated the ride to the alley being a route I haven't done fro 6+ months. However, Jacque need to work a little later than normal, and I was ready & able to leave a little early, so I rode to church instead, changed there and we drove together to the alley. Either way, it was a beuatiful evening for a ride.

When I arrived at the church, there were a few young couples waiting outside for another member of their party to arrive so they could get in one of the vans and head out of town for a weekend long marriage retreat. Vance, one of the ones waiting, came over to me as I was loading my bike onto my truck to confirm where I worked. Come to find out the guy they were waiting on works at a building just a couple blocks from where I work - in fact I go right past his building on my route to church - and he left work about the same time I left and I beat him there! He did have a traffic accident on one of the freeways, to contend with.

Bowling was fun and exciting too. We have 9 teams this year - that's up from 5 & 6 the last couple years - and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves. I realized earlier this week that the two new computers I bought earlier this year (this laptop & the desktop downstairs) have not had the bowling software loaded yet. I sat down Wed. evening to download the software on the web, but the website was unresponsive. After sending an email to the person, I found out he has brain cancer and the focus has been on his health the last year or two, so the website was shutdown, along with the support number, and the software has not been updated either. They said they'd send me a CD and it will be sufficient for me to use. The only alternative I could find is a $120 commercial product. Will remember Randy & Sue in my prayers.
