My bike broke down a week and a half ago and I feel like I have been punked by the Great Escape bicycle shop. They have had my bike a week and a half and did a poor job of fixing it. After work today I took off on my normal East North to Cleveland Park across downtown and up the SRT to TR. Instead of stopping at the gazebo to turn around I went on to the Trailside Creamery and had an Almond Joy/Chocolate swirlie cone. Man was it ever good! I had a god time talking with Jenn up there.
I could sure tell that I had been off the bike for a while as my legs were really tired and feeling the burn. I did average 14.9 mph on the SRT which isn't too bad. I'm afraid that I'll need to take the bike to another shop and have it fixed right. I'm unhappy with what the GE did with it and have a couple of other minor issues that I'd like to have taken care of.
