The Bear Went Back Over the Mountain
Today I took off not knowing where I would go. But I got to the bottom of the hill from the house and turned to go to the Greenville side of Paris Mountain. There was a fair amount of traffic on the mountain. On the way up a young buck ran out of the woods in front of me and crossed the road and then off into the woods on he other side. I tried to call Cis from the top of the mountain but couldn't get a dial tone. I went down the TR side of the mountain and called Cis from the bottom. Then I headed to TR and went to Sunrift Outfitters to look at touring bikes. They don't carry touring bikes. I went to Trailside Creamery and met Cis for a bite of ice cream. Then back onto the trail. I ran into Andy at Blue Ridge and talked to him for a while. Then I got caught by a train at Brammlett. I stopped at TTR to look at bikes and am looking at the Surly Long Haul Trucker and the Salsa Caseroll. I can sure tell that I'm carrying extra weight when climbing the mountain. It's time to shed some weight and get my climbing legs back.
