I headed out to Furman to do the Swamp Rabbit out there this afternoon. I finally broke the 13 mph barrier for the average speed. I know that doesn't sound like much, but it's a new high for me. The Furman stretch of the SRT always takes me by surprise. It appears to be flat, but going north it is gradually uphill. It always seems to kill me. But coming back I suddenly grow wings!
Hmmmm.... I just checked my ride journal and see that I broke 13 mph a week ago when I last rode the SWT at Furman. A mind is a terrible thing to waste!
