Today I drove to the tennis court parking lot in Cleveland Park and ride up the trail. It wasn't especially cold, but it was very windy. I stopped a couple of times for pictures - a couple of shots of firemen training along the trail, a shot of the Swamp Rabbit Organic Training Garden, and a shot of the leafy trail. As windy as it was on the ground, I'll bet the firefighters were really feeling it. I rode to the north end of the trail and turned back. The wind was a challenge. Occasionally it pushed me along, but for the most part it was a challenge. I stopped for a drink just north of Furman and again close to Roe Ford Road. I stopped the Swamp Rabbit Cafe coming down the trail for a bowl of vegetable soup with bagettes, a glass of iced tea, and a peanut buter chocolate chip cookie. I also bought a cookie to go for Cis. The Cafe was just over 24 miles into the ride with just under three miles left to get back to the truck.
