Set a new record for November with two rides in a row. It was a pretty nice day today with intermittent sunshine and a steady south wind. Headed southwest of Paris across the prairie, so that I would catch a tailwind on the return leg. Thought I was taking it easy and spinning but heart rate was high throughout the ride. Seems my blood has thinned considerably during my time off the bike. Muscles felt good and had a nice high cadence across the mildly rolling terrain. I thought the wind would cause me more trouble than it did, but I think since it was so dry that it lacked substance. Felt good enough for cruising speed but was dreading any dog sprints today. I lucked out and only had to out run some short legged critters and a friendly ghost-eyed border collie on the way to Roxton. Felt really good with the tailwind home and was considering doing some bonus miles but started to tire as I worked through the various stop signs and lights of downtown Paris. Got a decent forty-five in and hopefully the exercise converted some fat cells to red blood cells. I'll need to get my wind back before making the big western climbs in December.
