It's been unseasonably warm here lately, making cycling a bit more enjoyable. With temps near 60°, it was No Jacket Required. (for me anyway.)
Today we rode to Edward's Apple Orchard again. Sue was not feeling her best, so this time we loaded the bikes in the car and took a short drive to Roland Olson Forest Preserve, from there we took the Long Prairie Trail to Beaverton Road, then went north to the Orchard. It's a nice, easy way to bike to the Orchard, since it eliminates a lot of auto traffic.
To our surprise, The Orchard was not very busy. They are open until November 29. If the weather is still nice next weekend, perhaps we'll go again, for some more apple pie, donuts and caramel apples.
After eating at the Orchard, we went to the east end of the Long Prairie Trail. Sue said she'd never been there, so she got to see the "Tricycle Eating Tree" for the first time.
