After work I headed out East North but detoured over to Cleveland Park to see how things are coming with the trail updates and construction of the bridge. Many of the trail upgrades are finished. They have one of the double bridges closed and have done some cosmetic work on it. I assume that once it is finished that they will do the second bridge also. The new bridge to bypass the McDaniel Street bottleneck is in place but not open yet. It looks like it'll be a while before it is ready to use, but they are making progress. I can see nothing done to relieve the closure at Brammett Street. They announced last summer that they had come to a resolution and that it would be finished this fall. Maybe they just said in the fall without specifying a year! After going through Cleveland Park I cut through town and caught the trail at River Street. I took the Brammett/Washington Street route around the closure and went on up to Furman. Then I turned back and pretty much retraced my path back home. It was a little chilly and windy but was a nice ride.
